Taneil Uttal has been working with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for 40 years, with the last 22 years being occupied with studies of the Arctic environment. She began her Arctic career more than two decades ago working on a year-long Arctic ice camp project called SHEBA. It has been particularly interesting for her to be able to participate in the MOSAiC Expedition because of the changes that have occurred in the Arctic over the last two decades.
